Behind junior quarterback Parks Riendeau and 6-foot-8, 270-pound AJC Super 11 tight end Elyiss Williams, the Wildcats will take a 4-0 record into its final non-region game on Friday at home against 3-0 Spruce Creek High of Port Orange, Fla.

Also on Friday in Region 1-6A, Colquitt County (2-1) will play host to Lee County (3-0), Lowndes (4-0) will entertain Kell (3-1), Richmond Hill (3-0) will be home against Wayne County (0-4), Tift County (2-2) will be at Brodie Field to play Houston County (3-1) and Valdosta (4-0) will travel to Snellville to play South Gwinnett (3-0).

Riendeau has completed 52-of-73 passes for 828 yards and 11 touchdowns as Camden County has defeated Brunswick 51-41, East Lake (Fla.) 60-15, West Broward (Fla.) 52-29 and, last Friday, Ribault (Fla.) 62-6.

Williams has 28 pass receptions for 405 yards and five scores for No. 5-ranked Camden County, which is playing this season under new head coach Travis Roland, who has replaced multiple-state championship winner Jeff Herron.

In last week’s win over Ribault, Riendeau was 7-for-9 for 103 yards and two touchdowns.

Williams had four of those receptions for 88 yards and caught both touchdown passes.

Camden, which also scored on a 65-yard punt return by David Coleman and on a blocked punt picked up by Malik Patterson, led 49-6 at the half.

• While Camden is the region leader in passing, Lowndes leads in rushing and total offense.

The Vikings, also 4-0 although unranked, are averaging 9.3 yards a carry and have scored 16 rushing touchdowns.

Lowndes also has eight touchdown passes as it waits to meet Kell at Sonny Martin Stadium on Friday.

The Longhorns are 3-1 and are coming off a 31-13 win over Wheeler.

• Valdosta is ranked No. 9 in Class 6A as it prepares to meet South Gwinnett for the first time since a 41-7 victory over the Comets in the 1998 quarterfinals.

The Wildcats have the region’s second-leading rusher in Deron Foster and quarterback Todd Robinson has completed 62-of-86 passes for 730 yards and eight touchdowns.

The game will be the second road trip in a row for Valdosta, which went to Tampa, Fla., to defeat Jesuit High 35-28 last Friday.

• Richmond Hill features Region 1-6A’s leading rusher in Joshua Troupe, who has carried 69 times for 497 yards and six touchdowns.

Playing at home, Richmond Hill will try to keep its perfect record intact against struggling Wayne County.

The Yellow Jackets have scored just 17 points in their four games and have been shut out by Appling County and Pierce County the last two weeks.

• Tift County will try to head into the region portion of its schedule with a winning record when it plays host to Houston County.

The Blue Devils, who opened the season with a 43-0 victory at Griffin, won at Bainbridge last Thursday 17-14.

Houston, which opened with three straight wins, fell to Warner Robins 54-44 last Friday.
