Democratic Committee

The Democratic Committee of Colquitt County will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Moultrie-Colquitt County Public Library Auditorium. Attendees will vote on the state representative for Colquitt County and will discuss other important topics. Members and the general public are welcome.

NAMI Night

NAMI Night, the monthly meeting of the Moultrie chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will be held Sept. 3 at First United Methodist Church, Fifth Avenue at Second Street Southeast.

Light refreshments begin at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation at 5:45.

The presentation — “Helping Families and Children in Need” by Tanzania Ellerson and Larry Butler of the Georgia Office of Family & Independence District 5 — was planned for the August meeting, which was canceled by the approach of Hurricane Debby, but will be held Sept. 3 instead.
