MCCPRA, a Municipal Authority, plays a crucial role in the community by providing a wide range of parks, recreational programs and services, the chamber said. MCCPRA positively impacts our community through recreation tourism including ball tournaments, swimming and dive meets throughout each year.

One of MCCPRA’s highlights is its beautifully maintained parks, which serve as a hub for outdoor activities and family gatherings, the chamber said. Main Street Park features a covered playground for kids, a pavilion with tables, a walking trail, and plenty of greenery for picnics. William Bryant Park, now under renovation, includes an outdoor basketball court and a covered playground and pavilion, offering perfect spots for both casual and organized activities.

The month of August brings exciting changes to William Bryant Park as MCCPRA prepares for the installation of the only mini-pitch in Colquitt County, expanding recreational services and opportunity for physical fitness in the Northwest community.
