ADEL — One person was injured in an accident Monday morning that left a van dangling over the I-75 overpass in Adel.

The van was traveling northbound in the center lane of Interstate 75 near Exit 39 when it was hit by an SUV, according to a Georgia State Patrol statement.

The van spun, hit a guard well, headed up an embankment and lodged on the Exit 39 overpass.

Three people inside the van remained there until it stabilized and they could get out, the statement said. None were injured.

The driver of the SUV was taken to South Georgia Medical Center for a non-life-threatening injury.
