MOULTRIE — United Way of Colquitt County and Ameris Bank are partnering to provide local schools with school supplies through Stuff the Bus, a back-to-school supply drive initiative.
“We’re hosting a back to school supply drive to ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed,” said Caroline Horne, United Way of Colquitt County executive director.
She said that the two entities were working together to help provide school supplies to the local schools to support students that are in need.
“Ameris is proud to support the needs of the students in our community through Stuff the Bus, in partnership with the United Way,” said Kayla Harrelson, branch manager, Ameris Bank, South Main location. “Every student deserves the tools they need to succeed, and we are happy to provide these essential supplies to help them start the year prepared and confident.”
The drive is being hosted on the Amazon Gift List website, where people can choose an item or items that they wish to purchase, add them to the cart and then check-out. Once the Ameris Bank/United Way Gift Registry address is chosen at check-out, the items will be sent directly to United Way of Colquitt County for distribution.
To purchase items from the wish list, go to the Amazon Gift List website https://www.amazon.com/registries, type in Colquitt County in the “Find a registry or gift list” bar and search by “Gift List.”
“Together, we can provide students with the supplies they need to start the school year right! Let’s make sure every student starts the year with a smile and the supplies they need,” said Horne.
