The Downtown Development Authority will hold its monthly meeting at noon Thursday, July 11, in the Welcome Center, 31 E. Central Ave.

Blood drives

The American Red Cross will hold two blood drives in Colquitt County in July.

The Moultrie Masonic Lodge, 617 Fifth St. S.E., will host one 1-6 p.m. Friday, July 12.

The other will be 2-6 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 409 First St. S.E.

Back-to-school giveaway

Union Baptist Church’s Youth Outreach Ministry will host a back-to-school giveaway with school supplies, clothes and food starting at noon Saturday, July 13. The church is located at 103 Second St. N.W. Items are free.

The pastor is the Rev. Freddie Williams.

Bounce Back into School

Colquitt Regional Medical Center is sponsoring Bounce Back into School 10 a.m. to noon July 23 at the YMCA Pineland Campus, 710 28th Ave. S.E. Bring your little ones to enjoy free bounce houses, sweet treats, giveaways, and more! To RSVP for this event call (229) 890-3552.

AARP Smart Driver Class

An AARP Smart Driver Class will be held Tuesday, July 30, from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Magnolia Manor South, located at 3011 Veterans Parkway South. The cost is $20 for AARP members, $25 for non-AARP members and it’s at no cost for AARP United Healthcare members (must bring card). Participants should bring snacks and lunch. Back 2 School Bash

Omega Church of God, 1471 Georgia Ave., will host a Back 2 School Bash at 10 a.m. Aug. 3 with free hot dogs, backpack door prizes, school supply giveaways, games, inflatables and more.
