MOULTRIE — The Georgia Recreation and Park Association’s District III tennis tournament will be held July 8-9 in Moultrie and will include 21 local junior players.

The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority-sponsored tournament will be held at the Lynda Baxter Moseley Tennis Courts.

The top four finishers in each event will qualify for the state tournament, scheduled for July 15-18, also at the Lynda Baxter Moseley Tennis Courts.

The tournaments have been moved from the Packer Park courts, which will be resurfaced in July.

Players from Colquitt County, Thomas County, Lowndes County and Decatur County will compete in the District tournament.

Representing Colquitt County will be:

18-and-under: Daniel Basilio, Banks Flowers, Jayley Johnson, Emily Lampman and Candace Moses.

16-and-under: Julia Costin, Bailee Fountain, Josh Scroggins and Jaelyn Wier.

14-and-under: Allie Cannon, Catherine Cannon, Ryan Colls, Denim Dalton and Harrison Lampman.

12-and-under: Scarlet Allegood, Libba Dykes, Sadie-Laurel Cato and Jackson Miles.

10-and-under: Hank Dykes and Tucker Miles.

8-and-under: Carlton Niday.

Singles, doubles and mixed doubles will be played.
