Board retreat

The Colquitt County Board of Education will hold its annual retreat starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the CCBOE Boardroom, 1800 Park Ave. Topics will be general, with discussions in the areas of finance, curriculum, and reviewing policies.

NAMIWalks

The Moultrie chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will hold its annual fundraiser, NAMIWalks, at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 11, on the Colquitt County Courthouse Square. The event is in partnership with Downtown Moultrie’s Second Saturday event.

Called meeting

{span class=”print_trim”}The Moultrie City Council will hold a called meeting Tuesday, May 7. A work session will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Conference Room with a presentation from Nancy Coleman.

It will be followed by a general meeting in council chambers. Items to be considered for a vote in this session will include a bid for a roundabout on Second Street at Tallokas Road Southeast; an odorizer replacement; the annual memorandum of understanding with Colquitt County Archway Partnership; a pair of budget amendments; and a slate of officers for Georgia Municipal Association District 10.

Parks and Rec

The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority will hold its regular meeting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Ryce Community Center, 305 Seventh St. N.W.
