MOULTRIE — The Lady Packer varsity tennis team lost against Brookwood in the first round of the state tournament.

Two matches were pulled from the court before completion due to the other three matches having ended in a loss.

Still battling was singles player Emily Lampman and the doubles team of Carolyne Turner and Candace Moses.

Lampman was still in her first set, and was ahead 3-2, when her match ended.

The team of Turner and Moses lost their first set 2-6 and was one point ahead at 6-5 during the second set when their match concluded.

Singles players Ada Craft and Julia Costin both lost their matches.

Craft’s final set scores were 0-6;0-6 while Costin’s were 1-6; 2-6. Doubles team of Laura Gonzales and Jayley Johnson lost 5-7; 2-6.

After a final match score of 3-0 the Lady Packers 2024 season is now officially concluded.
