Three Moultrie YMCA MG’s compete in Level 6 state meet

MOULTRIE — Three Moultrie YMCA MG’s competed recently in the Level 6 State Meet in Carrollton.
The meet was held at the Carroll County Gymnastics Facility and hosted by Carroll County Recreation.
There were 219 Level 6 gymnasts competing Sunday, March 24.
“When you go to a state meet the girls, most of the time, will not be competing together,” said Coach Dawn Harvell. “They are divided by age categories with around five age categories at one session. We were in two sessions on Sunday. The girls went and had a great meet.”
Kayla Scroggins had her best floor routine of the session by scoring a 9.375.”
As a senior, Kayla competed in the final meet of her gymnastics career. She competed in the second session on Sunday in the SR E age category. She placed 6th on vault, 9.2 and tied for 6th on floor, 9.375 (personal best). She scored on bars, 7.55, beam, 8.075, and AA, 34.20.
In the first session on Sunday morning, Eliza Jane Reagan competed in the CH D age category. She placed 8th on beam, 8.925; vault, 8.9; bars, 8.65; and floor, 9.05.
She scored a 35.525 in the all around.
Nataleigh Bryant competed in the JR E age category. She placed 6th on vault, 9.15 and 7th on beam, 9.0. She scored on bars, 7.8,; floor, 9.025; and AA, 34.975.
