Saturday is busy with activities for both kids and adults

MOULTRIE — This Saturday is busy with lots of activities planned for both adults and kids through a variety of organizations.

Second Saturday in Downtown Moultrie will start at 10 a.m., with most shops opening at that time, and there will be food trucks parked around the square from then until 3:30 p.m.

Also during Second Saturday, Easter egg hunts will be held on the courthouse lawn for a variety of ages from 11 a.m. until noon and Mr and Mrs. Bunny will be making appearances to visit and take pictures with everyone. Pawblo Picaso, hosted by the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority will be held from 10 a.m. until noon at the “Bark Park,” 602 27th Street S.E. (Next to the Magnolia Sports Complex) Watch owners create “one of a kind masterpieces” with their pets.

The Boys & Girls Club of Moultrie will be having their Annual Pancake Breakfast at the club, 420 West Central Ave., from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tickets are $10 and the plate includes three pancakes, two eggs, two slices of bacon and water, juice or coffee. The Moultrie-Colquitt County Library System will be hosting “Searching for Big Foot with Mike Familant,” from 10:30 to 11 :30 a.m. This is a free event for all ages. For more information, call (229) 985-6540.

Saturday night, Dancing with the Moultrie Stars will go onstage at Withers Auditorium, starting at 7 p.m. This year’s event will bring 12 contestants to the stage to compete for awards.

Tickets are available now at Sucheros of Moultrie, Convenient Care Pharmacy and Clements Printing & Red Cardinal Designs. There will be a kick-off event at Sucheros of Moultrie on Thursday, March 7, and that is the last opportunity to buy tickets for Dancing with the Moultrie Stars.
