8th-grade baseball team wins fifth-straight game

MOULTRIE – Easton Harlow pitched six no-hit innings as the Colquitt County eighth-grade baseball team defeated Lowndes Middle School 3-1 on Tuesday at Packer Park.
It was the fifth win in row for the eighth-graders, who will be back at home on Thursday to face Tift County.

Harlow gave up just one unearned run, while walking one batter and striking out six.
Bradley Bryan and Chase Enfinger pitched the scoreless seventh inning.
Lowndes managed just one seventh-inning single.
The Packers, now 5-3, made three first-inning runs stand up.
Enfinger got a one-out triple and scored on a Kade Hopper single.
Briar Littleton followed with a base hit and Hopper advanced to third, scoring from there when Bryan reached on an error.

Littleton scored the final Colquitt County run on Harlow’s sacrifice fly.
In addition to Enfinger’s triple, the Packers got a double from Jackson Dorminey and singles form Hopper, Littleton, Bryan and Wesley Hall.
