MOULTRIE — The United Way of Colquitt County, through last year’s allocation process, determined the Colquitt Food Bank needed to be able to operate an additional day.
“After sitting and listening to every allocation panel, our 2023-2024 co-campaign chair, Tyler Mobley, stepped up to the plate and partnered Trinity Baptist Church’s Mission Committee with Colquitt Food Bank to make this happen,” said United Way Executive Director Caroline Horne. “Church members along with food bank volunteers have agreed to volunteer the first Saturday of every month to allow Colquitt County residents another option for food pick up, which helps those that are working during the weekday hours.”
Prior to the change, the food bank was open 9-11 a.m. Monday-Friday. It’s located at 309 Third St. S.E.
