MOULTRIE — Colquitt County’s girls and boys middle school golf teams took second-place finishes at the best-ball tournament sponsored by Pine Grove Middle School on Monday at Francis Lake Golf Golf Club in Lake Park.

The girls team’s twosome of Blair Summerlin and Blakely Hatcher shot a 43 to finish as the runner-up.

The middle school Lady Packers’ team of Allie Mobley and Blakley Collins shot 49.

In the boys tournament, the top two scores counted and the Packers were the runners-up with a 133.

Cavin Hall and Brayden Nolan turned in a score of 64.

Davis Hall and David Herndon shot a 69.

The middle school teams will compete next on Monday, March 4, at Spring Hill Country Club in Tifton.
