The Moultrie YMCA is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. It features programs, services and initiatives for youth and offers families ways to have fun together. The Y raises funds each year to ensure that no one is ever turned away due to their inability to pay.

Youth sports include soccer (in both the spring and fall), basketball, and flag football. The Moultrie YMCA also offers an Elementary School Sports League featuring soccer, flag football and basketball. They also offer adult coed sports like soccer and basketball. Pickleball is also popular at the Moultrie YMCA and playing space includes the recently renovated Basketball Gym as well as the brand new six-court outdoor facility at the main campus.

The Moultrie YMCA’s gymnastics program is one of the best in the country and trains in the 12,000-square-foot Donald A. Blevins Gymnastics Center, equipped with up-to-date equipment and apparatus. Boys and girls as young as 1 year old can join classes. Every September, the MGs host the Sunbelt Shindig. Classes like Ninja for boys ages 5 and up are extremely popular.

The YMCA has an indoor pool that offers water exercise, swim lessons and recreational swim programs.

In addition, the YMCA has nearly 8,000 square feet of wellness space, giving members access to a wide variety of up-to-date aerobic, cardiovascular and weight-training equipment.

The Sports Performance Center at the main Y location features turf and rubberized flooring, any equipment needed for CrossFit, as well as a Hoist MotionCage, a small group exercise rig with up to 12 different workstations. The Mary Trescot room, a multipurpose space for Active Older Adults and those battling cancer, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s, an Echelon Smart Touch Reflect — an interactive mirror that lets members attend thousands of on-demand workouts with just a touch of their finger — and also recently seen the addition of the Egym — smart machines that calculate weight per individual based on personal goals. A full body workout with the Egym can be completed in under a half hour.

The Chick-fil-A Rugged Run on the Robert Hutson Course is a mud run with obstacles that can be completed by the whole family.

The main YMCA campus is a 65,000-square-foot facility that houses a Group Exercise room, Wellness Center, Mary Trescot Room, Teen Lobby, Child Watch, a half court basketball gym, two racquetball courts, multiple soccer fields, pickleball courts, outdoor basketball court and a 35-acre Adventure Course that includes the alpine tower, zip line, low elements, paintball course, walking and biking trails and the obstacle course.

The Moultrie Y Childcare Center is a state-licensed facility through Bright From the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning that offers quality child-care for children 6 weeks to 4 years of age. The Childcare Center is committed to strengthening families through quarterly family engagement opportunities that educate care givers on literacy and teaches fun ways to ensure their child is ready for Pre-K.

The nearby Pineland Y is home to the 21st Century Community Learning Center, which is a federally funded program that offers students a broad array of enrichment and academic activities and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children. The 3-year-old classroom is also located at the Pineland Y along with a commercial teaching kitchen that hosts the Child and Adult Care Food Program, which provides over 300 meals each school day to children in Y after-school programs like 21st Century and PRIMETIME. PRIMETIME is an after-school program held at every elementary school in Colquitt County. Each of the nine sites provides a safe place for children from Pre-K to 5th grade while parents are still at work. Homework Help is also offered at each site. The Pineland Y basketball gym is a full court facility used for youth and adult league basketball. There are also multiple fields for soccer and flag football at the Pineland campus.

The Downtown Y is located at 9 First St. S.E. and is a 24/7 facility. The Moultrie Y started in a small building in downtown Moultrie in 1916 and the Y is proud to return to the heart of downtown. This location is just one more way the Y is working to serve everyone by breaking down the barriers of time constraints and accessibility. The Downtown Y features a group exercise studio and an Echelon Reflect has been added to that space to provide members with an on-demand exercise experience.

The City of Doerun Y is open a 24/7. The Doerun Y offers treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes and weight training equipment including a top-of-the-line cable machine.
