MOULTRIE — Early voting for the presidential primary starts on Monday, Feb. 19, and will end on Friday, March 8.
Georgians will vote in a primary March 12 to help determine the presidential nominees for the Republican and Democratic parties. Residents will need to choose the political party ballot, either Republican or Democrat, that they want to vote on.
Voters can cast their early ballot, in person, on the second floor of the Colquitt County Courthouse Annex, in the Commissioners Meeting Room. Voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
There will be two Saturday voting opportunities, Feb. 24 and March 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., also at the Colquitt County Courthouse Annex in the Commissioners Meeting Room.
Anyone seeking a mail-in absentee ballot can already request one. Under state law, Jan. 27 was the first day County Registrar Paula McCullough’s office could start sending them out.
An application for an absentee ballot may be submitted by mail, email, fax, the online statewide website or a voter may complete the application in person at the registrar’s office in the Colquitt County Courthouse Annex, 101 East Central Avenue, Office 133.
You can also contact the Colquitt County Registrar’s Office at (229) 616-7056 for more information. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
