The top six finishers in each weight class at the Sectional advance to state championships, which will be held Feb. 15-17 at the Macon Centreplex.

Region 1-7A dual and traditional champion Camden County finished first in the 23-team sectional, with the Packers placing second and finishing ahead of third-place Richmond Hill, 10th-place Lowndes and 13th-place Valdosta.

The three Colquitt County Sectional champions all defeated Camden County opponents in first-place matches.

Colquitt County wrestlers have won seven state championships and Paradice owns one of them, having claimed the title at 132 pounds as a freshman in 2022.

He did not wrestle at Colquitt County last year and was not eligible until Jan. 17 this season.

But he is 14-0 at 150 pounds since returning to competition and breezed through four opponents on Saturday.

He won his first three matches by technical falls over Harrison’s Alex Henry (19-4), Archer’s Gavin Frierson (21-6) and South Gwinnett’s Caleb Landry (21-6).

In the championship match, he pinned Camden County’s Brock Weaver.

Dillon, now will be making his second-straight appearance in the state championships at 215 pounds.

A junior who will take a 29-9 record to Macon, Dillon pinned his first three opponents on Saturday: Brookwood’s Zachariah Bradley, Harrison’s Sam Steinhauser and Grayson’s Matthew Kilgore.

In the championship match, he earned a 7-1 decision over Camden County’s Joseph Schulze.

Daniels is the defending state runner-up at 285 and made a statement at Valdosta, pinning all four of his opponents: Harrison’s Sam Stephens, Peachtree Ridge’s Dylan Ackovic, Archer’s Johnathan Williams and, in the first-place match, Camden County’s Jesse Batten, in just 71 seconds.

Daniels was the Sectional champion last year as a junior as well.

Flowers, a junior, will be making his third-straight state championships appearance this year and also won the Sectional at 150 last year.

Wrestling at 157, Flowers pinned his first two opponents before being pinned by Parkview’s Antoine Glasgow in the semifinal round.

He then took an 11-7 decision over Marietta’s Darius Jules and won the third-place match with a 8-0 major decision over Archer’s Dean Frierson.

Flowers will take a 41-7 record into the state championships

Grijalva, a freshman, pinned his first opponent and took an 8-3 decision over his second, before being pinned by North Gwinnett’s Nicolas Owens.

But Grijalva, now 33-17, took a 4-1 decision over Hillgrove’s Zahi Centeio in the consolation semifinals and then claimed a 9-1 major decision over Richmond Hill’s Brenden Fair in the third-place match.

Camarena, a sophomore with a 28-13 record, won three of his five matches, but was pinned by Archer’s Jan Constantino in the third-place match to finish fourth.

Henson, a veteran senior who is 37-19, won four of his six matches, including a 12-0 major decision over Archer’s Nic Custer to take fifth place.

At Habersham Central on Friday, Crawford, a senior, won her first two matches at 125 by pins over North Cobb’s Laila Sain and Lovejoy’s Mylove Cook.

After falling to Jefferson’s Millie Hughes and River Ridge’s Alyssa Roberts, Crawford won by forfeit over Cook to finish fifth.

Crawford will take a 22-8 record into the state championships.
