Rec Authority
The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority will hold a meeting of its Executive Committee at noon Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the MCCPRA Administrative Office, 1020 Fourth St. S.W.
The authority’s full Board of Directors will meet at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 17 at the Ryce Community Center, 305 Seventh St. N.W.
Georgia Pines
The Georgia Pines Community Service Board for area mental health, developmental disabilities and addictive diseases services will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Georgia Pines Administrative Offices Conference Room, 252 Woodlands Blvd. in Thomasville (formerly 400 S. Pinetree Blvd, Building 100).
This meeting is open to the public. Masks are optional in all Georgia Pines CSB facilities.

Relay for Life
To officially launch the 2024 Relay For Life season, the Relay For Life Event Leadership Team is hosting Moultrie-Colquitt County’s First Lap at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, at the Colquitt County Ag Building, 350 N. Veterans Pkwy.
The Moultrie-Colquitt County First Lap kicks off the first team meeting of 2024 as organizers prepare for the Relay For Life scheduled for Friday, April 26.

Feral Hog Task Force
The Georgia Feral Hog Task Force will roll out a new trap rental pilot program at a workshop 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the Tift County Extension Office, 1468 Carpenter Road South, in Tifton.
The workshop is open to anyone in the Middle South Georgia Soil & Water Conservation District impacted by feral hogs and interested in renting a PigBrig trap.
Attendance at the workshop is required to participate in the trap rental program. The workshop is limited to 35 participants.
