Mobley leads middle school swim team with two second-place finishes

MOULTRIE — Allie Mobley earned a pair of silver medals to help lead the Colquitt County middle school swim team to a third-place overall finish in the Nov. 13, Tift Middle School Meet.

Colquitt’s boys and girls teams both finished third in the meet, which also drew teams from Tift County, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Thomas County and Ben Hill middle schools.

Mobley turned in a time of 38.30 in the 50-yard backstroke and a 1:20.09 in the 100-yard individual medley, earning seven team points in each event with her second-place finishes.

Teammate Cindy Jo Cooper was third in the 100-yard individual medley, finishing less than a second behind Mobley, earning six team points.

Taylnn Cook also had a third-place finish for the middle school Lady Packers with her 2:35.97 time in the 200-yard freestyle.

Tift County was first and Coffee second in the girls, boys and overall rankings.
