Girls’ volleyball starts at Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority

- Girls' volleyball is in full swing at the Moultrie - Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority (MCCPRA) with games starting Nov. 27.
MOULTRIE – Girls’ volleyball is in full swing at the Moultrie – Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority (MCCPRA).
With three skills workshops already behind them, thanks to CCHS Volleyball players, over 75 girls in grades 4 through 12 will begin play on Monday, Nov. 27. Consecutive games will be Tuesday, Nov. 28; Thursday, Nov. 20; Monday, Dec. 4; Tuesday, Dec. 5 and Thursday, Dec. 7. Teams will play 5:30-7:30 each day with age group teams rotating through court time each day.
The Recreation Authority is also excited to announce the winners of the 2023 Pass, Dribble, Shoot Competition held recently at the Meredith Gym. This annual event is open to boys and girls ages 7-12, giving them the opportunity to show their skills and earn free registration for the upcoming basketball season. Students are timed and rated on passing the ball, dribbling the ball and shooting the ball.
This year’s winner in the 7–8-year-old girl category was De’Aviah Ferrell. The boys 7–8-year-old winners included Kade Angel, Pehrson Kraut Daniel Adcock.
The winner in the boys 9-10-year-old category was Fletcher Kraut and the winners in the boys 11-12-year old category were Gabe Copeland and James Daniels.
Each of these winners was awarded free registration for the upcoming basketball season at the MCCPRA.
