MOULTRIE — Anyone looking for a way to get outdoors and explore new places while enjoying the thrill of the hunt can check-out the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library’s new game, geocaching.
On Saturday, Nov. 18, at 10:30 a.m., the library will host a meeting all about this outdoor activity.
All levels of experience are welcome; first-timers can learn how to play, and experienced geocachers can share their adventures.
The session is free and open to everyone.
Geocaching combines aspects of treasure hunting, high-tech navigation, and exploration.
It typically involves finding containers hidden in places like parks, trails, and other public spaces. These containers hold a logbook that the participants sign upon discovery to prove that they found it.
Geocaching is suitable for all ages and it can be enjoyed alone or with others.
The library is located at 204 Fifth St, S.E., and parking is available. For more information, contact the library at 229-985-6540 or email amcnair@mccls.org.
