MOULTRIE – Two Moultrie residents were taken to Colquitt Regional Medical Center after being wounded by bullets Oct. 21 during one of several weekend shootings the Moultrie Police Department responded to.

“We received multiple calls from different sections within the city throughout the weekend,” said Lt. David Corona with the MPD. “We are currently investigating the shootings to see if there are any connections.”

The shooters also managed to damage several vehicles and houses.re on scene at one shooting when we got the call about the injured individuals,” said Corona.

The duo was transported to emergency care and it was later reported they were stable, according to Corona.
