In 1958 I purchased a 5-inch cast iron turtle. The turtle was not antique; it was a recent casting. Sixty-five years now and counting, I named it “Time.”

Realizing today at age 85 that one cannot own time, a loss of interest is a probable way to destroy time. Even the blast furnace cannot destroy it. It may return as a different creation, even a blue bird. Who can tell what time has in store for my “Time?”
