Meeting
The Downtown Development Authority will meet at noon Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Moultrie Welcome Center.
Santa Claus
Santa Claus will be at the Museum of Colquitt County History from 2 p.m. until closing every Sunday in December until Christmas.
Ordination service
Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 610 Tenth Ave. S.E., will hold an ordination service for Minister Donald Reeves at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. The speaker will be the Rev. Kenneth Barlow, and Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Sale City will provide the music.
Cram the Cruiser
The Moultrie Police Department is collecting new, unwrapped toys and gift cards for children under the care of the Colquitt County Department of Family and Children Services.
You can drop off your gifts from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Moultrie Police Department.

Christmas concert
The Colquitt County High School Choral Program will hold its Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Withers Auditorium.
Tickets are $10 and are available in advance or at the door.
Humane Society
Thwe Moultrie-Colquitt County Humane Society will hold a Christmas adoption event noon to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the Humane Society, 1412 First St. N.E.
All adoption fees will be $50.
Pictures with Santa will cost $10, and cookies and hot chocolate will be available for $3.
The Humane Society is holding a raffle for gift cards from Amazon, Target and Walmart. Raffle tickets are on sale now for $2, and winners will be announced Dec. 19.
Development Authority
The Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority will hold its next monthly meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Committee meetings will start at 11:30 a.m. on the second floor, and the Board of Directors meeting will start at 12:30 p.m., or as soon as committee meetings end, on the third floor.
Conservation district
TIFTON, Ga. — The Middle South Georgia Conservation District will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Tifton USDA Service Center. Among the items on the agenda are two projects in Colquitt County: Moultrie Route 133 Storage and Sterling Doctors Office.
