STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the crash of a single-engine plane in south Georgia.

The plane went down Tuesday night in the Statesboro area, WTOC-TV reported.

Bulloch County Sheriff Noel Brown says he believes the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will be out Wednesday to investigate.

Few other details were immediately available early Wednesday.
