Archbold facilities report 82 positive COVID-19 results

THOMASVILLE — Eighty-two people have tested positive for COVID-19, the novel coronavirus, across its facilities, Archbold officials reported Thursday.
There also have been 284 negative test results. Archbold Memorial Hospital has 22 patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, and 33 patients are at home. Twenty patients in the hospital are awaiting test results, 172 others are waiting at home for test results.
Archbold’s Pinetree Boulevard screening site has had 18 positive test results and 139 negative results. There are 115 people who have been tested at the screening site waiting on test results. They will be notified of the results by their primary care provider.
Archbold’s facilities have had four people die from COVID-19.
No resident at either Glenn-Mor Nursing Home or Mitchell County Convalescent has tested positive or is waiting on results. There are 19 residents at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home who have tested positive and another 31 are waiting on test results.
There are no patients at Brooks County Hospital who has tested positive for COVId-19 so far, and one patient is waiting on a test result. Two patients at Grady General Hospital have tested positive and three others are waiting on results. There are two patients at Mitchell County Hospital with COVID-19 and one other patient is waiting on results.
Archbold officials said they are reporting results for patients at Archbold facilities and for results reported through their labs. Archbold’s reporting does not include county of residence, and Archbold also reiterated that its facilities are not the only source of testing in the counties it serves.
