First COVID-19 case reported in Lanier

LAKELAND – The first case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Lanier County.
The patient is currently hospitalized and the source of exposure was unknown as 4:52 p.m. Wednesday, according to a South Health District statement.

The Georgia Department of Public Health did not have any reported cases in Lanier as of its noon Wednesday update.
