Monday is final day to register to be eligible to vote in Georgia’s presidential primary

DALTON, Ga. — Monday is the last day to register to vote to be eligible to vote in Georgia’s 2020 presidential primary on March 24.

You may register online at registertovote.sos.ga.gov. You may also register in person at your local election office. In Whitfield County that is in the courthouse, and in Murray County it is in the courthouse annex.

The presidential primary will be on Tuesday, March 24. Early voting starts on Monday, March 2, and ends on Friday, March 20. Early voting is offered Monday through Friday during those dates and there is also early voting on Saturday, March 14.

In Murray County, early voting will take place at the recreation center at 651 Hyden Tyler Road. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. 

In Whitfield County, early voting will take place in the elections office at the courthouse. The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.

In the Republican Party primary, President Donald Trump is the only candidate on the ballot.

In the Democratic Party primary, U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, former vice president Joe Biden, billionaire Michael Bloomberg, former South Bend, Indiana, mayor Pete Buttigieg, former congressman John Delaney, U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, billionaire Tom Steyer, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren and businessman Andrew Yang are on the ballot. Bennet, Delaney, Patrick and Yang have already dropped out.
