MOULTRIE, Ga. — Turning Point recently honored Joyce Thornton as the 2019 Employee of the Year. 

This award is voted on by Turning Point staff and distinguishes one person displaying exceptional service excellence.

Thornton began her career at Turning Point in 2002 as unit secretary and was promoted to patient services manager in 2004. She acknowledges her co-workers and Turning Point patients as being her motivation and has proven herself as a leader and a problem-solver, according to a press release from Turning Point. 

Judy Payne, CEO of Turning Point, commented, “Joyce keeps her focus on enhancing the patient experience and is a wonderful ambassador for Turning Point. She is most deserving of this award.”

In her free time, Thornton enjoys traveling with her husband, two daughters, and two grandchildren.
