ATLANTA — Former Moultrie resident Hank Williams, who has appeared as an extra in a number of movies filmed in the Atlanta area, recently got to meet Jennifer Hudson, singer and actress known for her role in “Dream Girls,” as they were filming “Respect,” the life story of Aretha Franklin.

Hudson portrays Franklin at a recreation of the singer’s concert in Atlanta; Williams plays a concert attendee.

Williams said an aide to Hudson was informed of his two-year battle with kidney failure, and Hudson invited him backstage for a meet and greet and photo.
