Rec Authority

The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority plans meetings on the next two Wednesdays.

A called meeting will be held at 8 a.m. Jan. 8 at the Ryce Community Center, 305 Seventh St. N.W., for a discussion concerning    the executive director position.

The authority’s monthly meeting is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Jan. 15, at the Ryce Center.

NAMI Night

Denise Linnenkohl, director of the Colquitt County Health Department, will speak on “Getting to Know Your Health Department” at NAMI Night Monday, Jan. 6.

NAMI Night, the monthly meeting of the Moultrie chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, begins at 6 p.m. with an educational meeting and transitions to support group meetings at 7 p.m.

The meetings are held in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church on Fifth Avenue at Second Street Southeast.
