Fagan, Kebler finish 1-2 in MJB Meet of Champions

MOULTRIE — Colquitt County High’s Timothy Fagan finished first and teammate Hunter Kebler was right behind in second in the 1-meter diving event at the recent MJB Meet of Champions.
Fagan scored a 470.90 and Kebler was just 4.75 points behind at the meet, which was held Dec. 20-21 at the McAuley Aquatic Center at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
The 1-meter boys event drew 27 entries.
Fagan and Kebler train at Moss Farms Diving in Moultrie, as do four athletes who competed in the 1-meter girls event.
Abigate White, who represents Thomasville High School, was fourth with a 452.10.
Mauri Leroux, also of Thomasville High, was sixth with a 395.10.
Skyler Hopper, a ninth-grader at Charlie A. Gray Junior High, placed ninth with a 373.55.
McKenzie Smith, also representing C.A. Gray, was 21st with a 134.30.
Taking first place in the girls event was Pace Academy’s Elizabeth Kay, who scored a 519.45.
The girls event included 44 divers.
