SRTC honors Medical Assisting graduates

- Felecia Applewhite of Tifton, Brooke Maple of Moultrie, Jonathan Sims of Moultrie, Ana Valdez of Moultrie and Amanda Willis of Moultrie received pins and small gifts in honor of their accomplishments.
MOULTRIE, Ga. — On Dec. 12, five students were recognized at a Medical Assisting pinning ceremony held at Southern Regional Technical College – Moultrie. These students completed one semester of prerequisite coursework as well as multiple semesters of rigorous occupational coursework, including a series of clinical rotations at local medical offices.
Felecia Applewhite of Tifton, Brooke Maple of Moultrie, Jonathan Sims of Moultrie, Ana Valdez of Moultrie and Amanda Willis of Moultrie received pins and small gifts in honor of their accomplishments. The students are eligible to sit for the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certified Medical Assistant exam. This designation represents a medical assistant who has been credentialed through the Certifying Board of the AAMA. All five students passed their exam.
Of these seniors, two were recognized with additional awards. Her fellow students awarded Maple with the Medical Assisting Role Model Award, and Sims earned the Highest MA Program GPA.
