MOULTRIE, Ga. — Georgia Power Local Manager Brent James presented a $2,000 donation from the Georgia Power Foundation to the Moultrie-Colquitt Development Authority for its Leadership Legends program.

This program is geared to young African American males in the community, with curriculum-based content through the Fanning Institute. 

Research has shown that male teachers of color positively influence educational and life outcomes for boys of color by being a trusted role model, the foundation said in a press release.

Accepting the check is Barbara Grogan, president of the authority.
