Colquitt Regional Medical Center reported the incident at 7:17 a.m. to the Moultrie Police Department, who marked it an aggravated assault.
Clayton was transported out of CRMC to a hospital in Jacksonville on Dec. 6. Investigator Selica Daniels said not much is known other than that.
“I should know better details about how he’s doing after his surgery,” she said. “Until he can provide anything further than (what was said), that’s all we have.”
Daniels said Clayton underwent surgery Monday morning.
