As we all read in the Moultrie Observer the other day, Rev. Wayne Woods, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Moultrie, is retiring at the end of the year.
Brother Wayne has been a friend, mentor and an excellent Preacher for the past 10 1/2 years.

I remember when he came to interview for the job, I asked if he knew what gnats were? He laughed and said yes.
I wish he and Mrs. June all the best in their journey ahead.
One thing I want you to know about Bro. Wayne is that in High School, he was an Alabama All State High School football player.
Bro. Wayne was good. He played Guard, Tackle and Linebacker for the Wadley (Ala) Bulldogs.
One story I heard is that he was a very tough and rough football player. He had a mean forearm.
Bro. Wayne is also a very proud University of Alabama football fan.

Going to a Church with mostly Bulldog fans, Bro. Wayne is one who takes a lot and can give a lot. Just ask those Bulldog fans.
Thanks again Bro. Wayne and Mrs. June for 10 1/2 years of service to our Church and Community.
Love Ya.
