MPD seeks help identifying suspects

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Moultrie Police Department is looking for suspects in two different felony cases and is asking the community’s help in identifying them.

Two suspects, a male and a female, were involved in a Nov. 5 theft where jewelry was taken from King’s Jewelry and Shoes located at 10 First Ave. S.E. in Moultrie.

According to the MPD’s Dec. 4 press release, the two asked to see jewelry in an attempt to purchase a gift for a family member’s anniversary. The woman kept the shop owner’s attention while the man concealed jewelry into his pocket.

A report made on the matter marked the jewelry as worth $3,800.

A third suspect was involved in a Nov. 20 felony shoplifting where he attempted to purchase two cell phones from Walmart, 641 S. Veterans Parkway in Moultrie.

After the debit card he used didn’t work, the man took the phones and left, police said. The report written on the matter marked the phones being worth $798.
