Rec Authority plans ‘5 Festive Days of Christmas’ throughout December

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Department is planning several events in December, starting this Sunday.
Dec. 1
Santa in the Park, 2-4 p.m. at Main Street Park.
This is a free event. Bring your camera to get photos of your children with the Jolly Old Elf.
Dec. 10
Nailed It, 6 p.m. at the Ryce Community Center.
MCCPRA and MCCLS present “Nailed It: Holiday Snack Edition,” inspired by the Netflix show “Nailed It,” which features amateur bakers trying to bake crazy cakes and treats. Come create decorative, fun holiday treats as part of MCCPRA’s 5 Festive Days of Christmas. Come show us what you can do!
This is a free event, but you must register at mccpra.com.
Dec. 13
Flick on the Field, 7-9 p.m. at Jim Buck Goff Complex.
This, the MCCPRA’s second Flick on the Field, will be a free event. Bring your family and a blanket; pick your spot and get ready to watch “Elf” on the ball field. Concessions will be available for the event.
Dec. 15
Cookie decorating, 2-4 p.m. at Main Street Park.
Event is free and all supplies are provided.
Dec. 20
Kids Night Out, 4-9 p.m. at Meredith Gym.
MCCPRA will host Kids Night Out as part of its 5 Festive Days of Christmas. Let them entertain your kids while you’re out doing last minute Christmas shopping. They’ll have games, Christmas crafts, music and pizza. The cost will be $5.

Free Play Basketball at Shaw Gym, 735 Fifth Ave. N.W.
The gym will offer extended hours, 2-7 p.m., on Dec. 23, 26, 27 and 31 and on Jan. 2, 3 and 6; plus 3-7 p.m. on Dec. 30.
Dec. 30
Imagine That! Vision Board Party, 1-3p.m. at Ryce Community Center.
Come create your Vision Board for 2020! This free event offers fun for the entire family.
