Moultrie and Colquitt County have much to be thankful for this year.

The opening of the South Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine will be huge for the long-term success of our community.

The City of Moultrie has announced a significant reduction in major crimes over the last two years.

While the Colquitt County High School Packers didn’t make it to the championship, they drove well into the playoffs, which is pretty impressive under a new head coach.

The CCHS band is representing our community this week in the Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia.

Looking through back issues of The Observer finds many positive things going on in the community.

But when asked, Observer readers emphasized their gratitude for personal things — the huge things that seldom make the newspaper but contribute so much to an individual’s well-being.
