MOULTRIE, Ga. — Wayne Smith of the Moultrie Masonic Lodge, F&AM, samples his own chili Saturday afternoon during a chili cookoff on the Courthouse Square.

Sponsored by the Moultrie Moose Lodge, the event has five competitors, all of whom are offering samples for a $1 donation to the Moose Lodge. In addition, there are bounce houses, cornhole and music on the amphitheater stage.

The event is part of the Downtown Moultrie Association’s Music Under the Magnolia. Music Under the Magnolia will climax at 7 p.m. with a concert by The Tams, an Atlanta band known for “Beach Music,” including “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy.”
