MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority has set out to collect food for the Colquitt County Food Bank, and in true recreation style, they’ve made it a competition.

The MCCPRA will sponsor a Stocked Cart Race at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Lowe’s on Veterans Parkway.

Entry fee is $25 worth of non-perishable food that will be donated to the food bank. That gains entry for a team of four or more.

The team can decorate a Lowe’s shopping cart, load it with their food contribution then race it in a 100-yard dash.

Prizes will go to the team with the most food, the fastest team and the team with the best decorations on their cart.
