MOULTRIE, Ga. — The United Way of Colquitt County surprised its top two Taster’s Choice vendors from the Taste of the Town event with awards.

Although Taste of the Town took place Sept. 19, the awards were presented earlier this month. Nineteen food vendors and more than 400 attendees made the inaugural Taste of the Town a big success, United Way Director Caroline Horne said.

The Square Restaurant’s homemade lasagna with homemade pasta scored the first place Taster’s Choice Award.

Moultrie Billiard Parlor presented chili dogs with their melted butter and grilled pound cake, which won them second place.
