LETTER TO THE EDITOR: My patience gene has shriveled up

Service oriented businesses and construction trades want the public “To Have A Little Patience.” They’ve got to know my patience gene has long since shriveled-up, it may even be totally dead.
The medical industry has become the worst. Just have a little patience — I know we’re overbooked — please understand, with a tremendous overhead I need the money — just exercise a little patience.
Just have a little patience is the cliche offered by incompetence. Just be patient, I know that we promised you we would be there two days ago — but we have people ahead of you that we promised.
“SAY WHAT?”
“We’ll be there tomorrow.
“Ccan I count on that for sure?
“No I can’t promise for sure. Just have a little patience.”
Somehow I get the feeling that you don’t accept that you should keep your promises and certainly not tell me to be patient.
