Ameris announces 2 promotions in Moultrie market

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Ameris Bank Market President Tim Powers announced two promotions earlier this week.

Ginger Boyd has been promoted to vice president, branch market manager at the bank’s Moultrie main office, and Stephanie Henderson has been promoted to branch manager of the bank’s Moultrie Quitman Highway location.

As vice president, branch market manager, Boyd will be responsible for the overall deposit and loan growth for the branches in the Moultrie market, as well as overseeing the professional development of the retail team in that market, according to a press release from Ameris Bank.

Boyd has been with Ameris Bank since 2017, and has extensive knowledge of the financial sector as she has worked in many different bank department throughout her career, the press release said. Her experience includes loan and deposit operations, audit and compliance, and retail lending.

“We are excited for Ginger’s new role,” said Powers. “Her dedication and financial experience will benefit our customers in the area. We know she will continue to help the bank thrive.”  

Boyd graduated from Moultrie Technical College as a member of their accounting program. She went on to attend and graduate from The Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia. Boyd is currently a board member for the Hope House Pregnancy Care Center, volunteers as a mentor with the YMCA Mentor program, and is a member of Doerun Church of God. Additionally, Boyd is a child advocacy volunteer with the CASA Kid program and has also served on the Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassadors Committee.

She and her husband William live in Hartsfield, Georgia, and  have two sons, Jacob and Zackery. Boyd also has one granddaughter named Penelope Rose Boyd.

As branch manager, Henderson will build and maintain banking relationships in the local area and manage the daily operations of the Moultrie Quitman Highway Ameris Bank location, the bank said in a press release.

Henderson has 12 years of banking experience. She started her career in banking with Bank of America in 2007 as a full-time teller. Within a few months, she was promoted to sales and service specialist. In 2015, Ameris Bank acquired several Bank of America locations and Henderson became part of the Ameris Bank team. Since then, she has continued to grow, serving as a head teller, travel banker, personal banker, and assistant branch manager.

“We are excited to have Stephanie leading the Moultrie Quitman Highway branch,” said Powers. “Her banking, sales, and management experience will benefit all our customers in the area. We know customers and branch employees will truly enjoy working with Stephanie.”

Henderson participates in United Way activities and volunteers frequently through Ameris Bank. She and her husband T.J., and their children, Noah and Hannah, reside in Moultrie.
