• Diamond Hooks, 23, of Sylvester, was charged July 27 on three bench warrants.

Moultrie Police

• Paiten McClelland, 18, 1921 Mitchell County Line Road, was charged July 26 with three counts of trespassing.

• Sammie Patillo, 59, 357 Ga. Highway 111, was charged July 26 on a bench warrant.

Sheriff’s Office

• Mary Lee Starnes, 38, 330 S. Railroad St., Norman Park, was charged July 26 with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit a crime and burglary in the first degree.

• Porfirio Saraoz, 39, 169 Deer Run Drive, was charged July 26 with driving without a license.

• Gary Ben Summerlin, 54, 621 Clarence Jones Road, was charged July 26 with pedestrian under the influence.

• Noah Randall Taylor, 35, 348 John Vickers Road, Norman Park, was charged June 30 with driving without a license.

• Allen Furney, 100 block Old Culbertson Road, told deputies July 28 that he had discovered several bullet holes in the front door of a mobile home he owns near his residence.

• Tina Bullard, 100 block L.B. Nevills Road, reported July 27 that a man she knows in Norman Park sent her photos of some of her property and said he was going to burn it. Among the items were Bullard’s father’s uniform from the Norman Park Police Department, trophies and a dining room table.

When a Colquitt County deputy went to the man’s residence, he saw a fire in the back yard. He knocked on the front door and when no one answered, he went around to the back. He said a white shirt was partially in the fire and visible on the sleeve was a Norman Park Police Department patch. In the ashes were metal rods and ceramic bases that could have come from trophies, and a dining room table sat apparently undamaged near the fire.

Thefts

Sheriff’s Office

• Kayla Edwards Samples, 1400 block Old Doerun Road, reported July 27 that several items were missing from her residence when she returned from a vacation in Florida. Samples and a witness provided the name of a relative they said took the items. The items were valued at $1,242 and included art supplies, mirrors, tools and other items.

• Darryl McCoy, 100 block Martin Luther King Drive, Berlin, reported July 28 that his 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen over the preceding night. The SUV was recovered, the reporting deputy said, and a juvenile suspect was identified.

• DeMott Tractor Co., 1659 Sylvester Highway, discovered a 2019 Clubcar golf cart was missing during an inventory check July 26. The golf cart was valued at $10,000.

Sheriff’s Office

• Angel McClelland, 200 block Indian Lake Drive, called deputies the evening of July 26 about a fight at her residence. The deputy’s report identified five other adults as victims, offenders, witnesses or some combination thereof, as well as two juvenile witnesses. No charges were filed, according to the incident report.
