SALE CITY, Ga. — Theresa Chastain is asking if you’ve seen her service dog, Bella Ann.
Chastain, who lives outside Sale City in Mitchell County, said she’s had the dog for eight years, but she disappeared sometime after 6 p.m. Monday, July 15, on Highway 37 in West Hartsfield.

“She’s like my child,” Chastain said, “but not only that, she helps me with some tasks as I have stage 3A breast cancer for the second time and have limited use of my left arm.”
Bella Ann is black with white back paws and chest. She has a bow-legged back right leg, Chastain said.
“I believe she was taken from the home and sold because she never leaves the property,” she said. “The other dog which is a male was outside as well and was still there, and if she had just wandered off he would have followed her.”
Chastain said she filed a report with the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office, so if you see Bella Ann, you can contact deputies at (229) 616-7430.
