Donations still needed for Teacher Appreciation Day

The Education Market Association says that virtually all teachers wind up paying out of pocket for classroom supplies every year. The Colquitt County Arts Center’s goal is to lessen the burden of out of pocket costs by providing some of these much needed items to local teachers for free.

MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Education Market Association says that virtually all teachers wind up paying out of pocket for classroom supplies every year. The Colquitt County Arts Center’s goal is to lessen the burden of out of pocket costs by providing some of these much needed items to local teachers for free.

This year’s 3rd Annual Teacher Appreciation event will be 4-5:30 p.m. July 30. This event is supported by the community and donations of supplies are still in great need. A full list of needed items can be found online at colquittcountyarts.com.

Cash donations to purchase supplies are also appreciated.
