Appreciation event

The Heavenly Stars of Ashburn will hold a gospel music appreciation event for Sheree Marshall at 4 p.m. Sunday at Lifespring Community Church on Quitman Highway in Moultrie.

Church program

Seedtime and Harvest Church, 1155 Sixth St. S.E., will hold “Growing Together” at 9 and 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The event is based on 2 Peter 3:18. Saturday’s event will feature food, games, music and fun.

The guest speaker will be Elder Dwayne Berrien of Tampa, Fla. Pastor and co-pastor are Charles and Mary Hadley.

Benefits Check-up

Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 501 Eighth St. N.W., will host a Benefits Check-up at 11 a.m. Saturday. A free service of the National Council on Aging, the check-up will help with medications, food, utilities, legal assistance, health care, housing, property taxes, transportation and Medicaid assistance.

A benefit gospel singing will be held for Bishop Tremaine O. Alford Sr. at 4 p.m. Sunday at Greater Pines Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1203 S. Jefferson St., Albany. The Rev. James C. Bush is pastor.

YMCA Hip Hop Hero Gymnastics Camp

All boys and girls ages 4 and up: If you have never tried gymnastics, the Moultrie YMCA Hip Hop Hero Gymnastics Camp will be held July 29-Aug. 2 every day from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for a week of gymnastics, crafts, games and prizes.
