VALDOSTA, Ga. — Valdosta State University is proud to announce the members of its graduating class of Spring 2019. This includes the following area residents:

• Lidia Alonso of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Mass Media.

• Monica Causey of Moultrie earned the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Accomplished Teaching.

• Karla Charles of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

• Jessica Cid of Omega earned the Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

• Katie Croft of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Education in Communication Disorders.

• Jaycee Ellenberg of Moultrie earned the Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.

• Graciela Garza of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Education in Communication Disorders.

• Rocky Gilliard of Ochlocknee earned the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design.

• Aimee Hall of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Education in Elementary Education.

• Jessica Hall of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

• Kristen Heatter of Coolidge earned the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and the Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.

• Jonathon Hembree of Norman Park earned the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

• Katie Humphries of Moultrie earned the Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.

• Kendra Jenkins of Moultrie earned the Education Specialist in Instructional Technology.

• Amber Kling of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Education in Communication Disorders.

• Andrew Penuel of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business.

• Grayson Perryman of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

• Samantha Phillips of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Education in Elementary Education.

• Mackenzie Pollock of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Arts in Biology.

• Tucker Prestridge of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Arts in Music.

• Mayra Ramirez Rubio of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Biology.

• Camille Sellers of Hartsfield earned the Bachelor of Science in Education in Communication Disorders.

• Ashley Spradley of Norman Park earned the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geosciences.

• Samuel Stripling of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management.

• Carley Tomlinson of Moultrie earned the Bachelor of Science in Education in Communication Disorders.

• Ryan York of Pavo earned the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.

More than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students completed the requirements for their respective degrees during the Spring 2019 semester.

“Graduation is a defining moment in every student’s life,” said VSU President Richard A. Carvajal. “We are excited to pay tribute to the outstanding efforts of our spring graduates and celebrate education as the foundation upon which success is built. These students have had to overcome any number of challenges to reach this point in their life’s journey. It is that very perseverance that protects and nurtures Blazer Nation’s 100-plus-year-old tradition of academic, creative, athletic, research, and service excellence. This celebration is not an ending but the beginning of many great things to come.”
