MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Moultrie woman suffered minor injuries in a stabbing incident less than two hours after she called police about a man breaking her window.
Melissa Lynn Kilgore, of the 1700 block of Fourth Street Southeast, was treated at the Colquitt Regional Medical Center emergency room and released Monday, a hospital spokesperson said.
Kilgore first called police about 1:40 a.m. that day. A carport door had its window broken out, police said.
Kilgore told the officer at that time that someone wearing a red hoodie broke the window and reached in to try to unlock the door. She yelled the police were coming and the man fled.
Police searched the area but didn’t find anyone.
Damage was estimated at $500.
Kilgore called police back to her residence at 3 a.m.
The police report contains very little information about the second incident, which it identifies as a stabbing. The attacker is described as a Hispanic male, but the report doesn’t include his age, height, weight or clothing description.
